The proposed deep cement mixing (DSM) project for Changi East Area Sewerage was designed to adopt the single-axle DSM construction method, with a column diameter of 1.8 meters and a maximum construction depth of more than 65 meters. The construction area is close to the beach and has a hard layer, making construction difficult.During the construction period, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and there was a shortage of workers, machinery and materials. Geoharbour Singapore Branch overcame the difficulties and finally completed the project to meet the design requirements.
